Another great item from HoungLTD Basics I agree with the earlier reviews that this set is definitely very nice and basic. Positive observations: The lids fit the pots perfectly. Once you place the lid on, consider it sealed. Steam gets out through a small hole in the lid. It's super easy to clean. Nonstick surface is truly amazing! Not sure how safe it is though. They say only aluminum pots and pans are safe. The lids could be safely placed upside down. The lid handle is flat and sits perfectly stable on its top. Pretty cool. Not so positive observations: The 2 cork hot stands and a plastic thingy are absolutely useless for me. I won't be using them for anything. The large deep open fry pan doesn't come with a lid. May be that's why it's called an open fry pan. I did have a lid that fit it because I like every pan to have a lid. I won't be placing them in the oven, but the highest temperature you can bake them in is 375. Overall I'm highly satisfied with the set. Looks 10/10 Practicality 10/10 Value: 10/10

Nice set but.. So here are the good and bad things about it that I observed: Pro: 1. Nice quality on the pots, pans, and lids. Not super duper high quality but definitely good enough to get all of your cooking done with ease. 2. For the price, you do get a decent amount, especially when compared to buying comparable pieces individually. 3. Easy to understand the instruction manual that comes with the pieces. 4. Amazon Basics is a solid brand, so you can be sure you’ll get good customer service if something is wrong. Con: 1. I’m still not sure what the white plastic lid is for. The manual says it is a lid/cover for the 7” casserole, but I tried it in that one as well as in the other pot and pan and it did absolutely not fit it. It almost fits in the pan but the outside circumference is still exposed about an inch AND whatever you have in will get crushed since there is very little room once you put it on. 2. While the wooden/cork-like boards with the hole in the middle are for resting the pots or pans on (I assume), I have never once used anything like that in 35 years and I fail to see why it’s even necessary. 3. While it is technically a ten piece set, the three mentioned above (2 cork-boards and a plastic “lid”) are just fillers in my opinion. Overall it’s still a good value, so I’m not docking its score, but everyone ought to be 100% clear on their expectations when ordering this set. 5/5.

It was time to replace my scratched cookware. I was able to get the sizes that I wanted with features that were non-negotiable-glass lids, oven-safe handles and dishwasher safe. I have used every piece on my stovetop and in the oven and I am very pleased with the performance and ease of cleaning. Would definitely buy again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have cooked with this product for many years. This time I purchased the set of pans from Amazon at a great price. These pans do not stick and perform very nicely with heat distribution. The size is just right for my cabinet space. What I like best--there is no long handle but comes with the 2 small curved handles. Nothing to hit me when I'm moving around the stove cooking.
